Invisibility

Holy cats! Liu Bolin seamlessly paints himself to camouflage into his surroundings. The process can take up to 10 painstaking hours. Yowza. I don't think I can do anything for that long, except maybe watch The Wire. Most def.

See more amazingness here.

aaaaand Happy Halloween y'all! Anyone have an out of bounds costume? I'm going as a busy squirrel with gigantic acorns. I'm carrying the acorns, you dirty bird.

p.s. Welcome home, mk! I missed your mug. big time.

got to say goodbye for the summer

Fall is hands down my favorite time of the year and it's HERE. Even though I'm pumped to walk in the crisp air and eat apples, I'm mostly excited for the fact that I won't be receiving anymore mosquito bites until May.

Alberto Seveso's insanely amazing high speed photography series of a lego riding ink waves is a perfect send off to a summer of beaches, sand, and tan toes.

Enjoy the weekend! I'll be sipping spiked cider in a turtleneck and eating candy corn. You?

out of the woodwork

If there is one thing I've learned about dating, it's that ex-boyfriends never truly go away.

Despite thinking you'll never hear from them again, you ALWAYS do. They disappear for a period, only to re-emerge out of the woodwork at the most inopportune times.

Sometimes it's a random text while out with your new fox, other times it's a weird comment on a Facebook picture or, my personal favorite, a birthday email asking you "what's new?" a year after they dumped you.

What are they even doing in the woodwork while they wait for you to partially move on before striking? Whittling chess pieces?

Confirmed - Ex-boyfriends and cockroaches will be the only two specimens to survive a nuclear attack.
