on the ball. (watch this video at work!)

Out of control! Sony launched the arrival of the Bravia LCD by releasing 250,000 thousand bouncy balls down the hilly streets of San Fran. I've watched this a dozen times. Since 9 AM.

5 looooong days. Welcome home, MK. xoxo.

nyc sammies

Sandwiches are the jam. And this genius started scanning pictures of his daily sammies. Some are ordered out, some he makes homemade. All look like they want me to eat them.

For those in the NYC/BK area, the second picture is from Nicky's Vietnamese! And, this pastrami is from my friend and fellow schoolmate, Noah Bernamoff, who escaped from the talons of Brooklyn Law School to open, Mile End, an addictingly good Canadian-jewish delicatessen. Mazel Tov, Noah!

I Lurve you.

Are you a big Bachelor/Bachelorette fan? I am religiously dedicated. The finale was the other night and as the two final men professed their love over and over to the camera, I caught myself cringing from their cheesy lines.

If I were to ever walk through our front door, to have Mike scoop me up, twirl me around and tell me that his heart was bursting with love...I would be convinced he was exhibiting symptoms of early-onset Alzheimer's.

Now, this. This is real. The Man's Guide to Love is a website where the creators travel all across the country asking men; "If you had one piece of advice that you'd give another man about love, what would it be?"

Here are three of my favorite answers, with Finn, age 7, being my numero uno! Already a genius and I love his lisp!

long as i can see the light

Aren't these pendant lights insane? I stumbled upon this etsy shop, Zipper8lighting, and was blown away.

I especially love the bio, where Allison Patrick admits she started creating them out of unusual materials because she was bored in class. I wikipedia-ed "mosquito bites" and "red velvet cake" when I was bored in law school. Got me nowhere.

(my favorite! completely out of plastic bags)

**I couldn't help but add this link to THE most romantic jukebox-wonder I know (hence the title of this post!). I never leave a bar without cueing this baby up and dancing by myself in the corner.

four eyes

The night before taking the Illinois Bar exam, I was super flustered and ran over my eyeglasses in an SUV. What a Winslow.

Amazingly enough, they didn't bust and I continued to wear them for six more months. (FYI: Placing twisted up frames in boiling water makes them pliable. Thanks, Dad!)

Well overdue for a new pair, I turned to the chicest eye frame company in NYC, Warby Parker.

They're like Toms shoes for the eyes! For every pair of frames you buy (which are only $95 including prescription), the company donates a pair to someone in need. And they just launched the new Hazelwood color and sunglasses. Which means, this month, I might be buying a little more eye candy. Vaya Con Dios, old Ray-bans.

Here I am with my best friend forever, Juliana, sporting the Sinclair frame in midnight blue.

State Pride

State steaks! Dominic Episcopo, a photographer out of Philadelphia, cut state shapes out of steak in his aptly titled exhibit "The Unites Steaks of America." Pretty amazing.

Even though I haven't lived in the state where I was born and raised for almost a decade, that's where my heart and pride will always lie. Never am I so giddy, sleep the deepest, and eat fresher food than when I'm back home at my parent's house in our sleepy, small town in Indiana.

AHeirloom is an etsy shop where the owner cuts a cheese board into your state's shape. And you can have the designer engrave a heart or star where your home town is located! I bought my Mom one for Mother's Day this year and she loves it.

I wear this exact necklace everyday (in gold!). It was a gift given to me by my little sister. The designer Maya Brenner makes all 50 states and just launched country shaped necklaces too! I always get compliments when I wear it. Once a man yelled to me from a couple people deep in a jam packed subway, "Are you from Indiana??? I'm from South Bend, Indiana. Go Fighting Irish!!" State pride runs deep.

Use your coconut!

When the summer heat hits the city, I can not get enough of God's sweet nectar; Coconut Water! Perfect as a low-cal treat between meals or a post-workout refreshment, this baby is packed with fiber and electrolytes. And maybe it's not bad for that sunday morning when you hit the sauce a little harder than you wanted to the night before. WHO'S TO SAY?!

Being a huge fan of Ms. Gwyneth Paltrow, I basically do anything she recommends. Her newsletter, GOOP, told me to use Coconut oil as a light, alternative to lotion after the shower. So, I did. Two years later, I'm still rockin' it! Super cheap ($7), it lasts FOREVER and makes my skin feel silky not sticky. Even in the dead of winter, the smell makes me feel like I've gone Caribbean.

This video is amazinggggg. Party hair everywhere! I used to listen to this song in the car everyday coming home from Elementary School. I was nutty even then!!
