Dances with Buffalo

If you haven't heard of Custer State Park, you should check yo' self. A trout fisherman's dream, this South Dakota wonder is nestled between the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore and the Black Hills. Dedicated to the preservation of the American buffalo, Custer is home to nearly 1,300 bison. Tatanka!

Every year, real Marlboro smokin' (and smokin' hot) cowboys herd every single one of those 1,300 buffalo to re-tag and re-assess their population (ie: make some into bison burgers).

Can you imagine watching over a thousand bison sprinting across the plains with dust clouds billowing around them?! It would like something out of Oregon Trail, right before you die.
